The Cyber Teens team had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Internet Governance Forum 2024 (IGF 24), held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Representing Bangladesh on an international stage, the team comprised Sadat Rahman, Hasib Hasan, Sundaraj Kumar Roy, and Turjo Anik.
The event brought together global leaders, experts, and youth innovators to discuss pressing issues surrounding internet governance, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion. Throughout the event, the Cyber Teens team actively engaged in multiple sessions, panel discussions, and workshops. These interactions were not just learning experiences but also a platform to share insights from Bangladesh’s unique initiatives like the Cyber Teens Helpline 13219, cybercrime prevention committee for teenagers, and the work being done to ensure safe cyberspaces for teenagers.
While attending the IGF, the team had the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations working towards empowering youth in the digital world. They built connections with participants from various countries, exchanging ideas on issues such as cyberbullying prevention, digital rights, and online safety for teenagers.
The event also served as an inspiration for the team to explore new ways to make cyberspace safer and more inclusive for teenagers in Bangladesh. Cyber Teens remains committed to its vision of protecting young people online and continues to seek innovative solutions to tackle emerging challenges in cyberspace.
This experience at IGF 2024 reinforced the importance of global collaboration in addressing internet governance issues. The Cyber Teens team is excited to bring back these insights and work on incorporating them into their initiatives to create a better digital future for the youth of Bangladesh.
Stay tuned for more updates from Cyber Teens as we continue to strive for a safer and more empowering digital world for teenagers!
